We have a large group of vets, nurses and support staff, each specialising in their own areas of expertise, including surgery, homeopathy and behaviour. You can trust your pets are in skilled hands every time you walk through our doors.

We know your pets deserve the highest standard of care. We offer a calm environment for even the most nervous pet, with separate dog and cat wards for your animals’ comfort in most clinics.

Veterinary Hospital Group was founded by Grant McCullough, who has been a qualified vet since 1986.

In 1991, he took over sole ownership of Albany Veterinary Hospital and Pet Centre. The success of Albany and the establishment of Silverdale Veterinary Hospital @ Animates in 2004 led the way for Veterinary Hospital Group to be formed.

Massey Heights Veterinary Hospital became part of the group in late 2007, Parkhill Veterinary Hospital and Boarding Cattery joined in mid-2010, and Hobsonville Vets in August 2013. Recent additions to Veterinary Hospital Group are Hibiscus Coast Veterinary Hospital, Remuera, Peninsula Bay, Dairy Flat, Clevedon, Takanini, Auckland and St. Heliers.
