Community and animal welfare
Supporting animal welfare is part of who we are. Veterinary Hospital Group is proud to work alongside rescue organisations, charities and community groups that improve the lives of animals throughout Auckland.

How we help
Our clinics regularly provide hands on veterinary support to rescue and welfare organisations across Auckland.
01
Reducing unwanted litters and helping rescue animals get ready for adoption.
02
Vaccinations, parasite control and health checks so rescues start their new lives well.
03
Diagnosis, treatment and surgical care for animals that arrive sick or injured.
Organisations we support
All animals
New Zealand's leading animal welfare charity, rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals in need and working to prevent cruelty.

Dog rescue
An Auckland-based dog rescue that helps owners of neglected dogs care for them better, and rehabilitates and rehomes dogs given into its care.

Cat rescue
A charitable trust on the North Shore and Hibiscus Coast that rescues and rehomes cats and kittens, mostly street cats that have been abandoned, surrendered or mistreated.

Cat rescue
A volunteer charity that has cared for stray and abandoned cats across greater Auckland for around 25 years.

Animal rescue
An Auckland charitable trust that rescues mistreated animals and finds them loving new homes.
Our commitment
We believe veterinary care has an important role in improving animal welfare in our communities.
Through partnerships with rescue and welfare organisations, we support responsible pet ownership, reduce unwanted litters, improve animal health outcomes and help vulnerable animals receive the care they need.
These partnerships reflect our commitment to animal welfare, both inside and outside the clinic. If you run a rescue or welfare organisation in Auckland, we would love to hear from you.
