I moved to New Zealand from South Africa in 2013 and now live in Stanmore Bay with my husband, chunky ginger cat Rascal, a huntaway x Ruby and Rosie. In my spare time I love being outdoors mountain biking, on the farm or at the beach spending time with friends. I love all animals including the scaly ones and have loved working for the Veterinary Hospital Group since October 2020.
I've grown up on the Hibiscus Coast and have lived here my whole life. I've always had a special place in my heart for animals which has led me to becoming a Vet Nurse. I have an old man dog called Storm and 3 cats at home, Beau, Romeow and our newest addition Tuna. I love all shapes and sizes of animals, I've even been known to own ratties in the past.
Gemma graduated from Unitec in 2023 with a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. In her spare time, she can be found exploring with her dog Charlie or lending a helping hand at Rodney Animal Rescue, which she loves as it gives her the opportunity to help and spend time with large animals.
