Remuera Hospital is in new custom built premises. The well-respected Veterinary team and knowledgeable support crew offer compassionate, state-of-the-art veterinary care. We are devoted to helping your pets live high quality, healthy lives. The team of Veterinarians includes Agnes, Madi and Jane. The Vets are supported by wonderful support staff including Sefora, Melina, Alannah, Becca, Andie.
Following graduation from Massey University in 2020, Madi initially worked at a mixed animal veterinary practice in Tauranga, before moving up to Auckland at the end of 2022 to join Remuera Vet Hospital and focus on companion animals. Along with cats and dogs, Madi has a keen interest in both wildlife and the “odd” pets like rabbits, birds and reptiles. Outside of work, she enjoys paddleboarding, being at the beach, aerial hoop and relaxing with her pets at home.
Originally from China, Jane graduated from Massey university in 2024 and has been working with Veterinary Hospital Group ever since. She approaches animals with care and love and is always happy to answer any questions you have. Outside of work, she enjoys Thai boxing, exploring the taste buds, as well as playing guitar and keyboard, or just a good movie night with friends.
A University of Queensland graduate (2011), she has worked in Samoa, Queensland, Gore (Southland), and now calls Auckland home. Fluent in both English and Samoan, her veterinary experience spans livestock, biosecurity, mixed animal, and companion animal practice, with particular interests in soft tissue surgery and animal welfare. Currently locuming in Auckland, she is joining the Rem team for six months to provide maternity leave cover. Outside of work, she enjoys the outdoors, café-hopping with her partner and son, and caring for Crash, their foster cat with cerebellar hypoplasia.
Sefora graduated with her DVN in 2018, and has since worked her way up to practice manager at Remuera Veterinary Hospital. She has her own cat Thomas, who was rescued. When she is not at work she can be found hanging out with friends or supporting the team at weekly quiz nights.
I came to NZ in 2018 from Peru (South America) and started my vet nursing journey in 2019 at Unitec (NZ certificate in Animal Care) alongside working 3 jobs (retail, cleaner and kennel day care). Once qualified I worked at some different clinics including emergency after hours before coming to work at Remuera Vet Hospital. I have a soft spot for felines, but do love seeing both cats and dogs. So far, the Vet industry has brought me 3 beautiful cats (all were strays I adopted) and have no regrets! I enjoy complicated anaesthetics and critical care nursing. I always aim to care for patients as if they were my own babies! In my free time I like to catch up with my friends, do some exercise or hit a new food spot. I'm a foodie!
Alannah is a newly graduated nurse who loves caring for and comforting your pets while they are in hospital. She is always ready to greet you and your furry friends with a smile and plenty of cuddles. Outside of work, she loves spending time at the beach and with her large, lovable Mastiff, Marni.
Andie has been a vet nurse for 20 years working at various clinics. Her passion is canine behaviour and mentoring junior nurses. Her Rescue dog Asher was given a steep leaning curve in behaviour. Her and her Partner enjoy softball + Motor sports when not walking the dog.
I graduated in 2024 with a Diploma of Veterinary Nursing. I am always happy to greet you and your fur babies as you walk through the door. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing, with a particular interest in surgical care. Outside of work, you’ll often find me at home with my two cats, Couscous and Otto, relaxing with a good show or playing video games.
