Izzie graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2022 with a degree in Veterinary Science. She began her career as a mixed-practice veterinarian in Jersey, where she gained experience across both companion, equine and farm animal species. Over time, she developed a particular passion for small animal medicine, while still enjoying the occasional large animal visit. Izzie moved to Australia to embrace new professional and lifestyle opportunities before recently relocating to New Zealand. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active through CrossFit, running, and hiking, and is currently learning to surf.

Gretchen graduated from Unitec in 2018 with a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing and started with the Vet Hospital Group in 2019. She decided to study vet nursing later in life after having a range of different careers. Gretchen has a particular passion for cats and their health and welfare. In her spare time, you will find Gretchen swimming, diving, and reading. She has a very spoilt ginger and white cat named Hamish.

We’re happy to have Monica back with the Dairy Flat team as Assistant Manager, having rejoined us at the start of 2025. With her previous experience, Monica is looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new clients along the way. When she's not at work, Monica enjoys spending time with her family, baking, and indulging in some creative crafting. We’re excited to have her back and look forward to the positive energy she brings to the team.

Lauren has recently joined Dairy Flat Vet Clinic as the Practice Manager. She brings a wealth of experience in both management and nursing, with a strong background in the care of both small and large animals. Outside of work, Lauren is deeply involved in managing her beef farm, supporting her family business, and spending quality time outdoors with her husband and their 4-year-old son. She is also passionate about horseback riding and leads a balanced, active lifestyle.

Hayley holds a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing from Vet Nurse Plus and first joined the Vet Hospital Group back in 2017. After taking a break from vet nursing, she returned in 2024. She enjoys many aspects of vet nursing, but is especially passionate about caring for hospitalised patients. Outside of work, Hayley enjoys martial arts, watersports and playing PlayStation to unwind.

Katie graduated from Vet Nurse Plus in 2025 but has been a student with us since 2023. Her main interest is medical and surgical nursing but recently has been getting more involved with large animals. Outside of work she loves reading, traveling and spending time with her four rescue kitties Sully, Mike, Brie and Cammie.

Amber graduated with her Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in 2012 and also holds a Certificate in Animal Management (Captive Wild Animals). Amber enjoys many aspects of veterinary nursing, from emergency and critical care to nurse consults and building great relationships with clients. She has a special interest in wildlife medicine and conservation. Amber started with the group in 2024 and works at the Silverdale and Dairy Flat clinics. Amber lives in Whangaparaoa with her husband and their two young daughters.

Originally from a small town in South Africa, Megan moved to New Zealand with her family back in 2017. After finishing high school she went on to fulfill her younger self’s dream of working in the animal industry and graduated from Vet Nurse Plus in 2022 with her Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. Megan joined the Vet Hospital Group in 2024 and loves interacting with clients, but would kidnap your furry friend if she was given the opportunity (cuddles for the win!!). She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, loves dancing and music (and her cat, Stewart) and is obsessed with all things country!
